Wythenshawe Good Neighbours in partnership with Mint Sounds, the Wythenshawe forum library creative space and Wythenshawe FM tag-teamed for the Pride In Place Project, which aims to improve neighbourhoods by funding the things local people care about. To do this, we’ll a number of radio features and podcasts.
| Backstory Benchill South and Wythenshawe Central have been awarded up to £20 million over 10 years as part of the UK Government’s Pride in Place Programme. Neighbourhood Boards are being established, with Independent Community Chairs, to ensure residents, community groups, and faith congregations directly decide how funds are used. Wythenshawe Good Neighbours has received a PiP grant to work in partnership with WFM, Forum Library Creative Space and Mint Sounds to ask the questions about how this investment should be used in their neighbourhoods |
All the data we collected will be fed back to Pride In Place to help show what matters to Benchill South and Wythenshawe Central.
